AMSA National Mentoring Scheme

The AMSA National Mentoring Scheme is a new initiative taking place around the country this year.

It aims to connect medical students studying at different universities and create a web of medical students linked across the country. Furthermore, it aims to facilitate communication between junior and senior medical students which will provide junior students with somebody to help guide them through the start of their training and senior students with the opportunity to gain new leadership skills.

The program will be open to all medical students, with students in years one or two eligible to become mentorees and students in years three-six eligible to become mentors. All students who participate will receive a certificate acknowledging their participation.

Does this sound like your type of thing? Please Note: Applications for the program are currently on hold If you want to read more about it then please check out the Program Overview as well as descriptions about the Role of Mentors and Mentorees. If you still have further questions then please don't hesitate to send us an email at community@amsa.org.au.
