AMSA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Elective Bursary

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health provides a fantastic opportunity for health practitioners to experience challenging, holistic and hands-on medicine in areas of definite need. AMSA offers students the chance to undertake an elective or placement in an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health facility or community by providing a bursary of $1000 to assist in the travel and accommodation and other expenses.

In order to judge the recipient of this bursary, AMSA is inviting students to provide us with a few paragraphs outlining the following details:

Why are you choosing to undertake an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health placement?

What aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health interest you?

What do you hope to achieve from your placement both personally, professionally and for the community?

Applications are open now.  Applications will close 5pm on Monday 20th June.
