the photos?

From the Ball.

From the rest of the week.

the website?

it died.

On August 12 2008, a critical security flaw was discovered in the Joomla! CMS, a content management system upon which the Melbourne 08 Website was running. This allowed a flurry of hackers around the word to frig around with any website based in Joomla, and the Melbourne 08 Website was breached. The Joomla! vulnerability has been patched, the Melbourne 08 website will be repaired in due course, and one can read details of the exciting work that was done, here.

the parting email?

Dear beloved Melbourne 08 brethren, The Melbourne 08 organising committee would firstly like to thank you for coming. No seriously, just hanging about with the ten of us was getting a bit tiresome. You guys made the most of everything we threw at you during the week and truely made Melbourne 08 your own. We hope the memories are as colourful as your sputum, and the newly forged friendships last longer than our shoddily built neck wallets did. Most of all we hope that just knowing you were a part of the 49th AMSA Convention will always remind you of the amazing, rich history and ridiculously fantastic family we are all belong to. Tell your friends (but not too many) and get set for the big 5-0 come July 2009. Ok, so it's not in Hawaii, but Brisbane is pretty damn close.

Convention Photos

The photos taken from our roaming photographers each night are about to (finalllllly) be available.

From the Ball.

From the rest of the week.

Lost Property

All property from the social venues and buses have been collected by our team; if you did not find your items at the Melbourne 08 booth during the week, they are unfortunately unlikely to turn up. If you still have lost property, please send a description of it to convention08@amsa.org.au with your contact details. If you mysteriously discovered items that aren't entirely yours in your luggage upon your return home, please let either us or your AMSA rep know and we'll organise for them to find their way back.

Melbourne 08 Merchandise

Limited T Shirts and underwear are still available for sale. Please send through any orders through to tshirts.convention08@amsa.org.au and eagerly await further payment information and of course, an exciting package in the mail.

AMSA Blood Drive

Need to make up for those Convention sins? What better way than to save a life or three by donating blood during the month of August as part of AMSA's annual blood drive campaign. Talk to your AMSA rep or head to www.amsa.org.au for more info.
