In a new initiative that turns rhetoric into action, this year’s conference will welcome medical students from Australia’s neighbouring countries to Melbourne. The 2008 AMSA GHC will, for the first time, truly engage a global audience, and foster links within the region, sponsoring delegates from over sixteen different countries in the Asia-Pacific. Thanks to AusAID, The Sidney Myer Fund and valuable contributions from a number of Global Health Groups, international delegates from predominately developing communities will be involved in a dynamic six-day programme during their stay. As well as attending GHC2008, delegates will be involved in the IFMSA Train The Trainer Programme that precedes the conference, running from the 1st-3rd July.
We hope you will join us not only in welcoming these delegates, but in sharing in their knowledge and learning.
