AMSA RED Centre Database
What is RED Centre?
RED Centre is the Rural Electives Database Centre of the Australian Medical Students' Association. We invite any student who has completed a rural placement to contribute to RED Centre, adding to the experience of other students interested in rural practice!
This project is a work in progress and will continue to develop over a number of years with your help. We are currently ensuring that the online system hosting RED Centre will have solid foundations- but we ask for your submissions now!
RED Centre aims to provide a repository of information for future students to assist them in planning a rural placement. In this way, students can use each others' hard work and experience to find a placement that suits them and is relatively hassle-free to organise.
It's well known that early positive rural experience is a key factor in returning professionals to rural areas- and we want to ensure that students avoid dissatisfying or difficult to plan placements, instead having a fantastic experience finding something interesting and suited to their personality and lifestyle.
How Do I Contribute?
You can contribute by clicking
here and completing the online submission form.
How Do I Search the Database?
For the next few months we will be collecting data to populate the RED Centre Database. Once the database is up and running, we will let our members know. We envisage that this will be ready later in the year.
