Final Year Medical Students
Dear final year medical student,
Over the last 4-6 years AMSA has been your friend. We have been there for the great times like national convention, but also the down times, like trying to find enough intern places for all medical students. AMSA has been your voice to the stakeholders in medical education, speaking out about the issues that affect you, while also producing publications, incredible events, and community activities.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end (although make sure you join AMSA Alumni next year!!), but fortunately all the good things that AMSA does are done for doctors by the Australian Medical Association (AMA). Joining the AMA provides you with events, member benefits, advocacy and much more
Becoming a junior doctor is exciting; however with many changes afoot, especially concerning the large increases in junior doctors over the next years, junior doctors need a platform to be heard from. To this end, you are in luck. The AMA is the most resonant voice for this anywhere in the country- perhaps even the world!
It does require your support to continue doing this though. If ensuring that healthcare delivery is led by your voice among many doctors’ voices is important to you, the decision about whether to join or not becomes easy.
Check out all the benefits available at http://www.ama.com.au/ditmemberpack, but as a teaser, the benefits include cars, computers, money, gadgets and much, much more.
