New AMSA Policies

Over the course of the recent council, a number of new policies were formed. These include: • International Medical Student Career Development Policy • International Medical Student Family Work Restrictions Policy • Student Concessions Policy In addition revisions were completed on the following policies: • Rural Healthcare Policy • Physician’s Assistants Policy Guidelines, while not passed as official policy were discussed regarding: • Competency-Based Learning Policy • Student wellbeing The policies will be used to dictate the direction of AMSA advocacy and provide an important tool as we present medical student issues to the relevant stakeholders.
