Senate Inquiry into the Welfare of International Students
In the wake of the recent publicity surrounding international students studying at Australian universities, the Senate of Australia has launched an inquiry into the welfare of international students.
This comes at an opportune time for our international medical student colleagues, who are facing growing uncertainty about intern positions, opportunities for permanent residency and future employment prospects more generally.
AMSA encourages anyone who would like to contribute to this discussion to get in contact with your local AMSA representative or AMSA's Vice President External, Jamie Alexander, at vpe@amsa.org.au. Submissions should be received by 14 August 2009.
Together, we can make our voices heard.
