AMSA National Council

AMSA Councils represent valuable opportunities to inform and upskill medical students across the country. Held 3 times a year and each over 3 days, Council is comprised of AMSA representatives, MedSoc Presidents, the Executive, representatives from the Board and importantly, any interested medical students like yourself, to meet and discuss the directions of AMSA. It provides a platform for medical students to inform and direct the function of the Executive and sets the advocacy agenda.

We primarily review, debate and pass policies which our advocacy team, give updates on the activities from the various arms of AMSA, and highlight future opportunities for involvement.

Council Three for 2018 will be held in Melbourne during the 21st-23rd of September. For more information keep an eye out on Facebook (facebook.com/yourAMSA) or for your AMSA rep’s post or email.

If you are interested in attending AMSA Council, simply register when registration is open (and will stay open for a month or until capacity is reached) and have a chat with your AMSA rep if you have any questions!
