Wear It Purple Day
AMSA Queer is proud to celebrate Wear it Purple Day to show our commitment in fostering safe, supportive, empowering, inclusive environments in all medical schools, hospitals and healthcare settings.
By wearing purple today, we are combatting bullying, harassment and intolerance of our queer youth, challenging those harmful social cultures and actively displaying our acceptance of all young queer people involved in our medical student community! Be you and be seen!
Comment below photos of you Wearing it Purple today and marking this occasion with stories of inclusions and belonging in our community and receive an AMSA rainbow lanyard you can wear every day!
AMSA Mental Health are currently collecting experiences of medical students with mental illness or supporting colleagues in need. We encourage you to share via this submission (https://forms.gle/z1MdYXqSHe6z5FwbA), particularly those from a queer perspective to help others through your story!
All queer and questioning medical students are welcome to join our AMSA Queer Network here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1868776066748878/
